Our verdict

Where it wins

  • Large 64 oz liquid capacity handles family batches in one run
  • Auto-iQ presets run timed blend and pulse patterns without babysitting
  • Pitcher, lid and blades are dishwasher safe

Where it loses

  • 1-year warranty is short next to the 3 to 5 years some rivals offer
  • No single-serve cups in the box, the BN751 variant adds those
  • The loose stacked blade column is sharp along its full length and needs careful handwashing if not machine washed

At around $100 the BN701 crushes ice and blends frozen fruit well for the money, and the big pitcher suits families. Skip it if you mostly blend one portion at a time, a personal blender is easier to clean and pour, or if you want a machine built to last a decade, which is what the Vitamix warranty is priced for.

Common questions

Does it come with to-go cups?

No. The BN701 ships with the 72 oz pitcher and lid only. Ninja sells the Professional Plus in other configurations that bundle single-serve cups.

Can it crush ice without liquid?

Ninja markets the stacked Total Crushing blades specifically for crushing ice and frozen ingredients, and the presets include a frozen drinks program.

How big is it really?

The pitcher is labeled 72 oz, but Ninja lists the usable liquid capacity at 64 oz. The base stands about 16 inches tall, so check your counter clearance under cabinets.
